Credit where credit is due, I couldn’t have made the comic without these talented people:
The Artists:
Anna Vuong (Spoons # 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & Minami ’02 conbook strip)
Head artist on “Boiled Spoons”
Anna has drawn for all the issues of Boiled Spoons so far, her style suits the comic really well, which is why I made her head artist.
Nichola Yau (Soup # 1)
Head artist on “Burnt Soup”
Anna Vuong recommended her, so I knew she had to be good...
She’s done a corking job so far, especially as the production of Soup #1 has not been easy to say the least.
Vanessa Wells (Soup #1)
Best remembered for her work on the fanzine ”Cyberage”. She’s the other artist working on Burnt Soup. She also did a really nice picture of Mirai on the main page of the late lamented ”Spoonsnet”.
Nicola Bolton (Spoons #1)
A new artist, her style fits Spoons well. Keep a look out for her novels!
Emma Vieceli (Ayacon 2002 conbook strip)
Emma has drawn a strip featuring some of the Spoons characters for the Ayacon 2002 conbook. I hope her work will be appearing in an issue of Spoons in the near future.
Ross Liversidge (Spoons # 2)
A mad programmer type, he drew ”Night of the Bunni”.
Laura Watton & Jim Mcgee (Spoons # 1, 2 & 3)
Laura was the first artist I approached to draw for me, as her work was so well known and recognizable. For her last Spoons strip, Jim Mcgee did the inking.
Claire Green & Kerrie Dale (Spoons # 1, 2, 3 &4)
These two work as a team. They like to work to tight deadlines, which does explain why I don’t have much hair left...
Claire Sager (Spoons # 4)
So far she’s only drawn a single catnip ad, I’d like to see more of her work in the comics.
Blessin Dixon (Spoons # 3, 5)
Bird hunter extraordinary, she drew the ”Tractor” strip in Spoons #3. She’s most famous for having a singing sister...
Leah Holmes (Spoons # 2)
She sent me the ”Nails” strip as a gag. I loved it and put in the comic, much to her surprise!
And yet more thanks to Jon Tuffley of Ground Zero Games for casting the miniatures.
